Elmer Knowland is a recurring character in the Netflix Limited Series of Godless. He is portrayed by John Lawlor.
Biography[]
Elmer Knowland is the undertaker of La Belle and one of the few remaining men in the town. Elmer is a friend of Sheriff Bill McNue. He is seen playing chess with Bill when Marshal John Cook arrives in town to tell the Sheriff about the massacre in Creede by Frank Griffin and his men.
